The Old Fort Days Dandies is hosting the 4th Annual Chili Supper and Auction on Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. The event will be at Kay Rodgers Park, and there will be music, cowboy poetry, and more. Then, of course, there will be chili and a silent auction. You’ll get all of this for $8 a person, and kids 5 and under get in for free. The event starts at 6 p.m.

This is going to be the event to end all events, so clear your schedule today.

Meet the Entertainers

It wouldn’t be the Dandies Chili Supper and Auction without some entertainment. Steeldust will be playing some country music at the event, and Daryl Knight will be reading off his favorite cowboy poetry. Just in case that isn’t enough fun, the Lawbreakers and Peacemakers will be on hand. This reenactment group will take you back to the 1800s. They’re dressed in period attire, and they know how to entertain crowds.

Who Are the Old Fort Days Dandies?

If you’ve been in the area for any period of time, you probably know who the Old Fort Days Dandies are. Let’s say you’re new to the area, though, or you just need a refresher.

The Dandies are young ladies who can do more than ride horses. They have scholastic achievements under their 10-gallon hats, as well. The dandies put on one amazing show after the next. They might gallop their horses right at each other, and only miss a collision by a few inches. Then, they’ll move through a complicated pattern, all to the delight of the audience. That’s just one example of what you can expect at a show.

They also help in the community. They visit local nursing homes and hospitals, and work with children. This group is a pillar of the community.

They do so much, and the annual chili supper and auction is a way for them to get some much-needed funds. They’ll use the proceeds to cover travel expenses during the rodeo season. You will help the Dandies continue on by attending the supper.

You will hopefully score some great items at the auction. You can also score a big prize at J. Pauley Toyota in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Our vehicles will make you feel like a winner over and over again. They’re reliable, fun to drive, and full of features that drivers love. Pick one up and start having some fun on the roads.
