Riverfront Blues Festival

Blues Player

Who doesn’t love the blues? We’re not talking about feeling down or experiencing sadness. We’re referring to the music that takes you away when you hear it – the music that you can almost see and reach out and touch when it leaves the instrument. From guitars to pianos and everything in-between, the blues seem to ascend gently across the air and enter our ears. Blues music isn’t immediately heard, it’s savored like a fine wine. If you love blues music as much as we do, you don’t want to miss the Fort Smith Riverfront Blues Festival.

The Details

Held outdoors at the Harry E. Kelley Park on Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23 beginning at 6:00 p.m., the 2018 Riverfront Blues Festival welcomes any and all to attend the event. Attendees will hear blues music from featured artists and are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and of course, sunscreen. Food and merchandise vendors will be available as well. Kids 12 and under get in free with an adult. For adults, a one-day pass is $15 or $25 for both Friday and Saturday.

On Thursday night, June 21, there will be a kickoff party at Warrens beginning at 7:00 p.m. featuring music from John Calvin Brewer. Grab your friends and attend the 28th annual Blues Festival in which some are calling “The best little blues festival in America.”
